ISMAIL HANIYEH INSISTS SCHOLARS’ ROLE IN LIBERATING AL AQSHA
Gaza, 28 Dzulhijjah 2012/13 November 2012 (POL/MINA) – Palestinian Prime Minister, Ismail Haniyeh, affirmed the important role of scholar when receiving Egyptian scholars delegation, Monday, and asked them to continue their role in liberating of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa.
“This is the first official delegation from the Egyptian Ministry of Waqf and Al-Azhar since the beginning of Gaza siege. It confirms the position of Egypt and its role in the liberation of Palestine,” Haniyeh said on the sidelines of welcoming the delegation.
“Allah has blessed us to meet with the Egyptian delegation in Gaza, a blessed land, because yesterday’s dream come true today, and one would imagine the reality of what happened to this nation to pursue this way,” he continued.
Haniyeh added, “We love Egypt because it is the heart of Arab and good resource for this nation, the Egyptian people connect with the Palestinians through their blood,”
Haniyeh reiterated, the land of Palestine is Islamic waqf, one should not be arrogant over this holy land, so that the resistance is the way to liberate and recover our rights.
Haniya explained, “Bargaining and negotiations are the obstacle for our aim. With the domination of the enemy in the agreement, barriers and blockades, then I know the road to liberation is through resistance,”
“We see Egypt’s love to Palestine when we entered Al-Azhar and stand to the pulpit, this visit is not to insult the Egyptians but a confirmation that this nation (Palestine) has the rights to the freedom of expression and has its own control and able to determine its future, Palestine is a matter of faith and religion, ” Haniyeh said.
