Jerusalem, 28 Muharram 1434 H/12 December 2012 (Wafa/MINA) – Israeli Occupation Police Tuesday demolished a house that belongs to a Palestinian family east of the old city of Jerusalem under the pretext of building without a permit, said witnesses.
They told WAFA that about 20 army vehicles and bulldozers demolished the house located in Hardoub area in At-Tur, a neighborhood east of the old city of Jerusalem, which is very close to the Apartheid wall and isolated away from the rest of the houses in the area.
House owner, Bassam Jabari said that the two-storey building, which his family has been living in for over four years, houses 11 residents.
He said, “The army demolishes our houses under the pretext of building without permits in the time when they don’t issue building permits for Palestinians even in their own land.”
He said that despite the financial loses he will not leave his land and will try to obtain a permit and rebuild his house. (T/R-009/R-006)
