Imaam Tasik       Tasikmalaya, West Java, 18 Rabiul Awwal 1434 H/29 January 2013 (MINA) – Imaamul Muslimin Muhyiddin Hamidy said that West Java has a great role in the struggle for liberating Al-Aqsa and Palestine.

“By Allah’s mercy, West Java has a blessed history and great role in supporting Palestinian struggle,” said Hamidy while delivering his speech in Tabligh Akbar with theme of “Liberating Al-Aqsa and Palestine” at Baiturrohman mosque, Tasikmalaya regency, West Java, on Sunday (27/1 ).

The first Asian-African Conference in 1955 was held in West Java. It was a conference of  anti-imperialism and anti-colonialism.

After the Asian-African Conference, there were dozens countries around the world, including Latin America broke away from their colonialist powers and became  independent states except Palestine.

Apart of being historical place where the first Asian-African Conference was held, West Java has also a new historic event, the International Conference for the Freedom of Al-Aqsa and Palestine held on 4-5 July 2012.

About 300 participants from 20 countries attended the conference, which later produced Bandung Declaration for the liberation of Al-Aqsa and Palestine. The declaration signed by eleven world leaders, including the Chairman of Islam Union (Persis), Prof.. Dr. Maman Abdurrahman.

The Tasik Tabligh Akbar were attended by many representatives of Islamic schools and scholars. Started from Friday to Sunday(25-27/1)
This event was organized by the Jama’ah Muslimin (Hizbullah) and supported by Tasikmalaya regency government and many international organisations such as Aqsa Working Group (AWG), Miraj News Agency (MINA), and Medical Emergency Rescue Committee (MER-C).

Al-Aqsa Mosque is Belong to Muslims

The event aims to call for the establishment of Khilafah Ala Minhajin nubuwwah, in the form of Jama’ah Musliminn (Hizbullah) as solutions to the Muslim problems and also to convey to Muslim communities that Al-Aqsa belongs to Muslims.

The speakers at the event are Imaamul  Muslimin  Muhyiddin Hamidy, Regent of Tasikmalaya Uu Ruzhanul Ulum, chairman of Islamic guidance and counseling agencies (LBIPI) Abul Hidayat Saerodjie, chairman of MER-C dr. Joserizal Journalists, and chairman of Aqsa Working Group (AWG) West Java Abdurrahman Sony Sugema, MBA.
Besides Tabligh Akbar, another events were : documentary screening , photo exhibition of Aqsa and Palestinian struggle, Islamic book bazaar and healthcare treatment thibbun Nabawi.

In the event Hamidy presented important facts and data in the process of liberating Al-Aqsa and Palestine. On July 22, 2012, 17 days after the Bandung conference Israeli Attorney General Yehuda Veinstein issued a statement which claimed Al-Quds including Al-Aqsa belong to Israel.

“But we did not permit it, because the decisions of Bandung Conference was the liberation of Al-Aqsa under the leadership of Jama’ah Muslimin,” said Hamidy .

Imaam Hamidy also said that all participants of Bandung conference agreed the decision to appoint him to lead the liberation of Al Aqsa and Palestine.
On 29 November 2012, Palestine got 138 voted from all 198 United Nations (UN) members (2/3 votes).  It improved Palestine status to be an observer state. Nine countries opposed (including Israel, the United States and Canada), 41 countries abstained, and 10 did not attend the event.

Today, Palestine is a recognized country, it just need one more step to be fully independent country. It marked that Bandung Conference has significant role in supporting Palestinian struggle.

Eight-day war in Gaza

Other historic events after the Bandung Conference was Israeli  attacks against Gaza,14-21 November 2012.  At least 182 killed and 1,399 injured during the attacks.

The agression ended with the Israeli request for a ceasefire and asked US to negotiate Egypt to be a ceasefire mediator in Cairo.

“They (the Zionists) used to attack until Palestine gave up, but now they asked to stop, ask to negotiate before they dropped,” said Hamidy.

Meanwhile, Fatah and Hamas have agreed with the reconciliation in Cairo January 12, 2013. The reconciliation, although not perfect, made Western powers worried, especially Israel, U.S. and its allies.

Other historic events were the Israeli elections 22 January 2013 which put Benjamin Netanyahu be Israel Prime Minister for the second time. Surely he will continue to occupy Al-Aqsa and Palestine. So Netanyahu was predicted as the last Israeli government.

Egyptian revolution 2012 ended Hosni Mubarak regime, and Muhammad Mursi, who replaced him as Egyptian President has given a remarkable effect to Palestine, especially Gazans who blockaded since 2006.

“In the past, people could not get in and out of Gaza easily, but now it is free to enter. The new Egyptian President could not be deceived  by U.S., unlike Mubarak,” said Hamidy.

So, the important point of Bandung Declaration is to protect Muslims everywhere, as in Palestine, Myanmar, southern Philippines, Thailand, India, Iraq, Iran and so on. (T/P14/E1)
