Hebron, 29 Rabiul Akhir 1434/11 March 2013 (MINA) – The French pro-Palestinian activists who are in Hebron on Friday (8/3) held a demonstration demanding the French government not to accept an official visit by Israeli President Shimon Peres to the French capital.
A French activist named Ibrahim Burnat delivered his speech describing that if the French government received the visit of President Peres, it means that France betrayed the values of liberty and humanity that has been the jargon of the French people.
“Simon Peres is the one who responsible for the slaughter of Palestinians. France would welcome someone whom his hands are full of bloodstained,” said Burnat, according to Ma’an news agency report received by Mi’raj News Agency (MINA), Monday morning.
“We condemned any humanitarian activist leaders who do not care to the occupation in the world. Israel openly massacring Palestinians every day. It is a crime against humanity that can not be forgiven, “he added.
The protesters also urged the French government to boycott every visit and cooperation with the states who commit crimes against humanity such as Israel.
They shouted through loudspeakers demanding French President Francois Hollande for not siding with the invaders. They also chanted slogans in support of the Palestinian people, especially to those who are on a hunger strike.
Currently there are hundreds of French activists residing in Palestine. They entered Palestine via Egypt and Gaza. Although the process is not easy, but it did not dampen their spirit to help the oppressed Palestinian people.
In December 2012 ago. Hundreds of France came to Palestine brought foods, cloths and medicine. They went through the Palestinian border of Rafah gate.
“I am very happy to be in Palestine. This is the first time we go to a country that is still under the occupation,” said Olivia Zemor, a French activist in Palestine.
“Israel of course never want us to be here as we build solidarity with the Palestinians. We actively support the Palestinian cause, help the prisoners and the boycott of Israeli goods and demanded the independence of Palestine,” said Zemor. (T/P04/E1)
