Gaza City, 23 Rabiul Akhir 1434/5 March 2013 (MINA) – The colonial Israel on Monday (4/3) extended the detention of a Palestinian Parliamentary member, Issa al-Jabari for the months ahead, without any trial.
         Israeli arrested al-Jabari on May 2011. He was detained without any clear charge and until now has never been brought to the court, according to Occupiedpalestine reports monitored by Mi’raj News Agency (MINA).

        Previously, al-Jabari had been arrested by the Israeli occupation in the summer of 2006. At that time, Israeli forced to carry out the massive operation to capture some Hamas leaders after the outstanding issue that there is an Israeli soldier was missing and reportedly held captive by Hamas activists.
        Because there is no evidence to corroborate them, Al-Jabari was then released in March 2010 after 4 years stayed in Israeli prison.
        Al-Jaabari had previously been elected to the Palestinian Legislative Council elections in 2006. At that time, it was won by Hamas.

        On February 21, 2013 ago, the colonial Israel also extended the detention of Palestinian lawmakers, Fathi Qraawi. He was arrested on 24 November 2011 and detained in Megiddo, Israel.

        Israel said Qraawi was extended his detention for next three months. But they did not explain further what wrong he had done, and there has been no court proceedings for him.
       Hazem Qraawi family, told Al-Quds Press that the release of Qraawi should be done on Monday (4/3) ago, but Israel extended the detention again.
       The total number of Palestinian legislators currently held in Israeli prisons are 15 people. 12 of them were the members of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), two members were from Fatah, and one other was the General Secretary of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), Ahmed Saadat.

       Several UN human rights body has also revealed that Israel has repeatedly committed violations of human rights by doing the suspension of detention of the prisoners without reason and without trial based on international law.
       Osama Makboul, a lawyer who is also a member of the UN human rights agency explained that the Israeli military commander issued the orders upon requested by Mossad intelligence agencies to arrest the members of the Palestinian parliament.

       A similar arrest warrant also issued for a lecturer and Hamas leader Dr. Mohammed Ghazal (55 years old). According to Makboul, he was arrested on December 7, 2011.
       Dr Ghazal is one of a professor at Najah University, he has been a professor in Engineering departmant since 1981. There have been many scientific papers and morks that have been published as the results of his writings.
       Israeli occupation has broken their promise to release the prisoners if there is no mistake that they did. But the international community see now that Israel does not release and continue to detain them without trial and error. (T/P04/E1)
